No Love For PC In Black Ops 3

Since I heard that Black Ops 3 was being released I have been on the search for a server browser within the game. Day after day I Google it. I want to play CoD but what's the point in buying a game that will lack players in less than a year.

The PCdev recently made a tweet which gave a lot of the PC community hope.
However as I mentioned in a previous post, the term dedicated servers is misunderstood. Black Ops 1 and 2 had dedicated servers in all ranked matches. As does Ghost & Advanced Warfare. However the only one that had a server browser was Black Ops 1. Dedicated servers means there is an actual server that the game is played in rather then the game being hosted on one of the players PCs.

You may notice that when playing zombies in Black Ops 1, when the host left, the game ended. This is because there was not a dedicated server but the game was hosted on the host's computer. However with the ranked multiplayer matches the server would remain there even if all players left. This is dedicated servers.

Now I recently watched the video below on YouTube. This explains a different use of a matchmaking system to not put you back in the same server if you leave that server. Matchmaking equals no server browser.

So once again, this year's Call of Duty (or as Vanellope Von Schweetz would say Call of Doody, which I think is quite fitting for the PC gamers) is another Call of Duty I will not be getting and I think is my last Call of Duty I will look at.

Call of Duty: The End Of PC Warfare

Hey guys, SighFye here

I have played many CoD's on PC in my day, the last big one for me was Black Ops. I did buy Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 2 but I noticed a repeating pattern in them and have been told that Ghost and Advanced Warfare both have this same pattern. What is this pattern? It's the lack of a server browser and rentable ranked server.

Black Ops 1 was an amazing game. Servers in that game are still running today and are running at full capacity. This is because people can see the servers and choose to join them. They know they are controlled by admins keeping abuse and fair play.

All the cod games I have played and been told about since have not had the server browser and on PC these games have died very quickly. Without server browsers people are only going into TDM and that gets boring quickly. There are just not enough people on PC for the match making lobbies to work. But why doesn't Activision give us what we want. Personally I think this is because we are all screaming for dedicated servers without realising what we are asking for. Dedicated servers mean the CoD will not host the game on one of the players computers.

So what do we really want? We want rentable ranked servers which are displayed in a server browser. The lobby crap does not work for PC. With Black Ops 3 coming out, I do not see our wishes coming true. I personally will never buy another COD unless it has a server browser and rentable ranked servers.

Well that's my rant for today.

Peace Out

Yay! No More el'Cheapo Curvy Keyboard

Hey Bellistik here!

I was shamefully gaming with this keyoboard...

...And this mouse

Yes! It was painful! I'm sure that if you game, you deeply sympathise. It's okay though, please don't fret yourself because I got a new keyboard and mouse!

I bet you feel relieved now!

It's the Cooler Master: Octane and I was quite surprised that they came together for only $95. I had a CM Storm mouse in the past, it was great so this was an easy choice. I love the look and feel of both the keyboard and mouse as well as the colour choices. I currently have all of the colours pulsating from one to the next!

As a gamer I also appreciate the changeable DPI as well as the much needed side buttons on the mouse.

Most of all, as I've mentioned in previous posts I like things that look good, and these are sexy, even if I say so myself!

I jumped into Black Ops and played worse than the noobs, like, literally, there were new people at about rank 11 on their first prestige who beat me! So of course I didn't screen-shot that but by the second game I was a little used to my new keyboard and mouse and got a better score.

20 Kills 9 Deaths
I'm still a little rusty from being offline for 2 years but I'm gettin' there, I'll be back to my old self in no time!
If you want to check out the full specs of the Cooler Master: Octane, do so here

Happy Gaming!
